Our Newsletter Design Process

Our process is not as simple as picking your favorite color template. Effective and thoughtful newsletters require solid research and organized planning.  At Newsletter Artist, we follow a systematic production process so that our clients receive personal attention and the highest quality work.

Newsletter Artist begins the design process with a research and discovery session.  Rushing into a newsletter design project before discovering the goals and challenges is a sure-fire way for a mediocre newsletter that doesn't create value for your audience.  Newsletter Artist will ask questions to develop the guiding principles to assist in your newsletter design.  We believe that strong client communication and information stimulates great design.  Information will be collected through the use of creative briefs and surveys and over a phone conversation.

After we have discussed your project in depth, a proposal is developed based on time, cost, and the resources needed to bring your newsletter design to life.

Most newsletter design projects don't fail from lack of color, graphics, or articles, they fail from lack of communication.  Newsletter Artist uses a web-based project management tool that allows you to be involved every step of the way.  This tool will allow you to communicate with our design team and writers around the clock  to ensure that everyone is on the same page with your project.  Once your newsletter design is started, we will send you your log-in information for our online collaboration tool.

This is where the Newsletter Artist will begin to draft formal concepts on what the final product may look like.  These concepts will illustrate layout, design elements, and typography.  While our creative staff is busy designing your newsletter, our writers will be hard at work writing/editing your message.

Once you have viewed your preliminary newsletter designs as a 'starting point, you can work with the designer, revising and editing your newsletter until it is completed to your satisfaction.  At Newsletter Artist, we don't believe in setting a limit on revisions.  We believe that a client should be able give feedback and revise until they are 100% satisfied.

After you have completed the revisions, we will submit your newsletter for print.  The typical turnaround time is 5-7 business days from time of approval.  Once the newsletter is printed, we will deliver your newsletters anywhere in the U.S. for free!  Need to distribute your newsletters to your clients?  We offer bulk rate mail distribution, too.
